Girls Program
Despite soccer’s deep roots in the Latino community, Latina girls remain significantly underrepresented in organized club soccer. Financial, cultural, and systemic barriers often make participation more difficult compared to their male peers.
Las Soñadoras is Street Dreams Soccer Academy’s Girls Program, created to empower young girls to dream big in a culturally relevant and accessible environment. While our program serves primarily Latina youth, Las Soñadoras is open to all girls.
At Street Dreams, we actively work to remove barriers like language, cost, and transportation so that young athletes from our community can thrive in the sport they love.
Las Soñadoras: Empowering Girls Through Soccer
Our teams participate in the Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association league, practice twice a week, play games on weekends, and participate in tournaments throughout the season.
How to Register:
Register by attending tryouts in June. See Tryouts to learn more.
Is it past the tryouts window? Can’t make tryouts or interested in joining later? No problem! Contact us—we’ll connect you with a program director to explore available options or add you to our waitlist.

SEASON
24-25
In the 24-25 season, we officially launched our first-ever girls’ teams. Teams compete in the Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association against other all-girls teams in the state of Wisconsin.
25-26
In this current season, we have 5 all-girls teams, 80 female players, and have expanded age groups to encompass the following age groups 7U–14U.
Benefits & Community Impact
Local rec leagues often don't provide all-girls’ teams or programming.
By providing all-girl teams, we are building an inclusive environment for all youth, including girls, and keeping siblings/families at one club.
Research shows girls are more likely to drop out of sports sooner. By starting girls in sports early, we can ensure they stay in the sport past 12U.
